Terms of Service

Version 1.0 · Effective date: 22 October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and G33G33.com ("we", "us") about your use of the G33G33BOT Discord bot (the "bot") and the website g33g33.com (together, the "service"). Please read them carefully. The short version: use the bot fairly, only play what you are allowed to play, and remember that you are responsible for what you ask the bot to play.

1. Who we are

The service is run by G33G33.com, based in the Netherlands. You can reach us at hello@g33g33.com.

2. Accepting these Terms

By adding the bot to a server or using it, you accept these Terms. Where the bot, our website or an order page asks you to accept the Terms explicitly (for example with an Accept button), you must do so before you continue, and we record which version you accepted and when.

If you add the bot to a server, you confirm that you are allowed to do so and that you will make these Terms and our Privacy Policy known to the members of your server. If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the bot and remove it from your server.

3. Who may use the service

You must be allowed to use Discord under Discord's own terms, including its minimum age. You must also follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while you use the bot. If you use the bot on behalf of a company or organisation, you accept these Terms on its behalf and confirm you have the authority to do so.

4. What the bot does

The bot plays audio in Discord voice channels at the request of the people in your server. It can search for music, play links you give it, keep a queue, recommend similar music, show lyrics, and listen for voice commands from members who opted in. The bot is free to use. We may add paid features later (see section 10).

5. Music sources

  • We do not host music. The bot does not upload, store, cache or keep copies of music or videos. When you ask for a track, the bot fetches the audio from the third-party source and streams it live into your voice channel, for the people in that channel only. Nothing is kept afterwards.
  • Sources. At the moment the bot can play from YouTube and SoundCloud. Spotify links are only used to read the names of the tracks; the bot then searches for those tracks on YouTube. Which sources are available can differ between servers and can change at any time; we may switch off a source, for example on paid servers.
  • Third-party terms. The content belongs to its owners and is offered under the terms of the platform it comes from. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify or Discord.
  • We do not sell music. The bot never charges for access to music or any other content. Any paid plan pays only for features of the bot.

6. You are responsible for what you play

You are fully responsible for all content you request, queue, play, save in playlists or otherwise cause the bot to play or show, by command, button or voice. Before you play something, make sure that you are allowed to listen to it and to share it with the other people in your voice channel. Server owners and administrators are responsible for how the bot is used on their server.

We do not choose, check or approve the content that users request, and we are not responsible for it. We may, however, block content, users or servers at any time (see sections 9 and 12).

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the service to:

  • play, share or save content that infringes copyright or other rights, or that you otherwise have no right to use;
  • break the law, or Discord's or a music platform's terms;
  • play or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence;
  • get around paywalls, DRM, region locks or other technical protections of a source;
  • record, transcribe or listen to other people without their knowledge: only turn on voice listening where the people in the channel know about it;
  • spam the bot, overload it, run automated requests against it, or attack, probe or disrupt the service or its providers;
  • copy, resell, sublicense or rent out the bot, or pretend to be us;
  • reverse engineer the service or get around its limits, except where the law allows it.

8. Voice control

Voice control is opt-in by default. The bot only listens to members who opted in on your server, and only while listening is turned on in that voice channel. If you manage a server and turn the opt-in off (/settings set voice-optin off), the bot listens to everyone in its voice channel except members who opted out, and you must tell the members of your server about this. How voice data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy. Do not use voice control to capture other people's conversations.

9. Rights holders: reporting content

We respect the rights of creators and rights holders. Because the bot does not host or store content, the content itself can only be removed by the platform it comes from (for example YouTube). We can, however, stop the bot from playing it.

If you believe the bot is used to play content that infringes your rights, send a notice to legal@g33g33.com with:

  1. your name and contact details, and the rights holder you represent (if not yourself);
  2. a description of the work you own or represent;
  3. the link(s) or ID(s) of the content, and if you know them, the Discord server, playlist or user involved;
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not allowed by the rights holder or the law; and
  5. a statement that the information in your notice is correct and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.

We confirm receipt and normally act within 5 working days. Depending on the case, we may block the content in the bot, remove it from saved playlists, and warn, suspend or ban the users or servers involved. Users who repeatedly infringe will be banned. If your notice is about content on a platform, please also report it to that platform.

10. Premium and free trial

Premium is not available yet. When we launch it:

  • Premium will pay for extra features of the bot (for example 24/7 mode or a custom bot name). It will never pay for access to music.
  • Each server will be able to try Premium free for 7 days. One free trial per server.
  • Prices, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds will be added to these Terms before anyone can buy Premium, and you will be asked to accept those terms when you order.
  • If you are a consumer, your statutory rights (including the right of withdrawal where it applies) are not affected.

11. Availability and changes to the service

We provide the bot as it is and as available. It is a hobby-scale service that depends on Discord and on music platforms we do not control, so features or sources can stop working without warning. We may change, pause or end the service, or any feature, at any time. We will try to announce important changes in advance, but we cannot guarantee that the bot is always available, error-free or that saved data (such as playlists or history) is never lost.

12. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the bot at any time by removing it from your server. We may block you or your server from the service, temporarily or permanently, if you break these Terms or the law, if a rights holder or authority asks us to, or if your use puts the service, other users or us at risk. What happens with your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

To protect the service, the bot detects abuse automatically. Spam or malicious input (for example attempts to inject commands or instructions, or to reach private network addresses) can lead to an automatic cooldown, a temporary timeout of your account, or a temporary suspension of the bot on your server. We may also warn a server, time out or ban users and servers, and make the bot leave a server; a banned server cannot invite the bot again. Server managers can block members from using the bot in their own server. Abuse-related events are kept in a security log as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Indemnification

If you use the bot for a business (for example as a company, organisation or professional streamer), you will indemnify and hold us harmless against all claims by third parties — including rights holders and collecting societies — and against the damage, fines and reasonable costs (including legal fees) that result from them, to the extent they are caused by content you requested or played through the bot, by your breach of these Terms, or by your breach of the law.

If you use the bot as a consumer, you are liable to us under Dutch law for damage you cause by breaking these Terms or the law, including when a third party, such as a rights holder, holds us liable for content you requested or played.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential damage, such as lost profits, lost data or damage caused by third-party services (Discord, music platforms or other providers);
  • our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage, or €50 if you did not pay anything.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under the law, and nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data the service collects and how we use it.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. The new version gets a new version number and effective date at the top. If a change is important, we will announce it in the bot or on this website at least 14 days before it takes effect, and where needed we will ask you to accept the new version. If you do not agree with a change, stop using the bot and remove it from your server.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes will be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country, and you can also bring a dispute before the courts where you live.

If a part of these Terms turns out to be invalid, the rest stays in force, and the invalid part is replaced by a valid rule that comes as close as possible to what was intended.
